Ask a Plastic Surgeon / Breast Augmentation-Lift-Reduction
Question 43
Question: I would like to consider gynecomastia, should a man lose weight if over weight by at least 50 pounds and will the weight loss help with the overall breast size.
From: Trevor, Manitoba Canada 01/28/2008
Response: Greetings,
A man should lose weight if he is over weight by 50 pounds. This is a safety issue both with anesthetic and wound related complications. Assess your relative breast size after your desired weight loss and proceed accordingly..
Sincerely,
