Ask a Plastic Surgeon / Breast Augmentation-Lift-Reduction
Question 30
Question:
I work in retail and im getting a breast augmentation. How long after surgery untill I can start working?
From: mk, virginia 09/21/2007
Response: Dear MK,
When you can return to work depends upon many things. It depends upon your pain tolerence, how large your breast implants will be, how much your tissues will need to stretch, and if your implants will be placed above or below the muscle. This is a question that truely will be best answered by your plastic surgeon but all things considered I tell my breast augmentation patients that they should plan on at least 7-10 days away from work with lifting and activity restrictions for up to 6 weeks after surgery so long as you are healing well.
