Ask a Plastic Surgeon / Breast Augmentation-Lift-Reduction
Question 25
Question: I am 56 years old. Time has caught up with my breasts, they are a very saggy 34D. Might I be a candidate for breast lift + reduction without
implants? I really don't want implants. Can it be done?
Response: Greetings, Time may have not been kind to your 34D breasts, but a breast lift should restore your breast form.... I would discourage the use of implants in a women with your cup size since the breasts look larger when lifted on the chest wall.... The simplest analogy is that a quart of peas in a 2 quart bag looks much smaller than the same quart of peas in a one quart bag. This is very much like what children do with their vegetables on their dinner plate; spread out it appears as if there is not much left, but back in one place the remaining quantity can be astounding. Don't forget to have a current mammogram.
