Question: How old does my daughter have to be before you will perform a breast reduction? She is 16 and a DD, she ask me all the time to have it done, can she?
Response: Breast reduction surgery for your 16 year old daughter is appropriate care for her large breasts... I comfortably care for younger patients
with this medical problem, if they are emotionally mature, and they are not
experiencing ongoing breast hypertrophy (enlargement and growth)..
I do recommend that you contact your health insurer to explore
their policies for coverage of this surgical procedure.
