Question: My husband and I are missionaries in Mexico and have legally adopted in Mexico two children from a children's home here. We are US citizens and plan to return to the US for an indefinite period of time. How do we bring our children across the border?
From: Janet, Texas 05/29/2008

Response: Janet-

Because you are U.S. citizens you should be able to get your children U.S. citizenship as your adopted children. There are a few requirements that will need to be met but you can probably get in touch with the local U.S. consulate and they will likely be able to guide you.
