Question: I am an 18yr old U.S. Sailor. My wife is 17 and her Visa expired July 13, 2007. Is there a way that i can get her to legalized without going back to Mexico and what are the steps we need to take?
From: Aaron, Texas 04/16/2009

Response: There may be a way to do this without her going back to Mexico but you're missing a lot of the important information an attorney would need to make this determination. First, how did she come into the United States? Second, has she ever had any Immigration problems? Third, has she ever had any criminal problems? Also, is any other member of her family a U.S. citizen? And has anyone ever submitted a petition for her in the past? Once you can answer all of these an attorney should be able to give you a pretty good idea of what to expect with a case like yours. Good luck!
