Ask a Lawyer -- Immigration Question 17
Question: I am green card holder and left my partner in the Phil. What is the best way and the fastest to file for petition for her as an immigrant or wait for me to get my citezenship first? I also have an 18 year old son, can he petition her too as an immigrant or have to wait for his citizenship too? Which route is best?
From: dennis, reno nevada 06/21/2008
Response: Depending on when you became a permanent resident.
File for both of them now if you cannot become a citizen soon. Otherwise, file for your son and wait for your wife.
